Hello and welcome all to the Week 3 Edition of SportsCenter.
Coming into Week 3, the NFL had 7 undefeated teams and 5 walked away with that same recognition. On the other side of the standings, 9 teams came out of Week 2 winless. Only 3 of those teams picked up their first win of the season in Week 3.
Now, lets take a look at some of the action that went down in Week 3...
AT
Lets kick things off with a Battle of the Undefeated, the 2-0 Packers at the 2-0 Bills. Both teams had a top 5 defense coming into the game with the Bills 1st and the Packers 4th ranked. However, both teams allowed more points in this game than they have all season.
The Packers came out of the gate strong with two TDs in the first quarter while shutting out the Bills offense. In the second quarter, Bills safety Donte Whitner picked off an Aaron Rodgers pass and took it back for a TD of his own with 2:03 remaining in the half. Rodgers recovered and lead his offense down the field and hit his tall TE Jermichael Finley for a 37 yard TD pass. With less than 30 seconds left in the half, the Bills offense finally put something together and mustered a FG as the half expired.
After a slow 3rd quarter which featured a nice 24 yard TD scamper by the Bills' Marshawn Lynch, the Bills entered the 4th quarter trailer the Pack 24-19. The defense of the Bills shut out the Packers for the rest of the game and Trent Edwards completed two 19 yard TD passes to James Hardy and Marshawn Lynch to pull off the win and remain undefeated.

Sure, its not too shocking that the 1-1 St. Louis Rams defeated the 2-0 Atlanta Falcons. What made this game this week's Upset Special was the fashion that the Rams won in. The Falcons struck first with Michael Turner's 22 yard TD run. After that, it wasn't even close. St. Louis' recent offseason moves has shown great dividends. During that time, the Rams traded for WR Calvin Johnson and drafted the University of Miami QB Kelly James. The two connected for 229 yards and a total of 5 TD passes throughout the game, 3 in the second quarter alone. It looks like the Rams are heading places with QB Kelly James sprinting towards a Offensive Rookie of the Year title.

The Game of the Week features two AFC West rivals in a tight game that came down to its last seconds. RB Darren Sproles started things with a bang via an 80 yard TD rush in the closing seconds of the first quarter. In the second, the Broncos talented CB saw some time at WR and took full advantage of it and reeled in a 32 yard bomb from rookie QB Drew Perry. From one rookie to another, HB Kemnavus Stillwell returned the following kickoff 106 yards to paydirt. Denver K Matt Prater tacked on a FG to finish the first half.
The 3rd quarter featured a Knowshon Moreno 4 yd dive into the endzone for 6. On the next drive, Champ Bailey picked off Rivers and took it all the way for his second TD of the game. With those two TDs, Denver had themselves a comfortable lead, but let it slip when Sproles scored with his second TD run of the day and when Shawn Phillips got himself a pick-six of his own. In the 4th, the Broncos added on 10 more points and found themselves with a 6 point lead with 1:41 left on the clock. QB Phillip Rivers didnt crumble. Instead, he drove his team deep into the opposing red zone. Needing a TD with only 7 seconds on the clock, he finds HB Tim Hightower for the go ahead TD and the lead in the division.

It was a pretty quiet week as far as trades go with only to trades occuring.
The big trade of the week involved the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens.
The Chiefs Recieved:
ROLB Paul Kruger
QB Troy Smith
WR Yamon Figurs
The Ravens Recieved:
RG Patrick Boma
QB Tyler Thigpen
Both teams filled some holes on their team in this trade. The Chiefs have acquired a capable OLB, depth at the WR position and find a quicker, younger QB more suitable to his needs. While the Ravens have filled a gaping hole on the offensive line by adding a Patrick Boma, a young RG with endless potential.
Advantage: Discussion
The second trade involved Week 3 opponents, the Atlanta Falcons and the St. Louis Rams.
The Falcons Recieve:
St. Louis' 2011 3rd Round Selection
The Rams Recieve:
SS Eric Coleman
Both teams are winners here simply because the Falcons have decided to go with youth and have no headaches with an aging SS. They also have two 3rd round selections in next April's NFL Draft. The Rams get a SS that has the skill that won't be available in the 3rd round so I'd say everybody is a winner.
Advantage: Both
