We are now in week 5 of the season, we still have 2 teams looking for their first win and end their extended losing streaks. We also have 4 unbeaten teams, who want to keep their early season success going. With that being said let's get to this week's slate of games:
Panthers (2-2) at Buccaneers (1-2)
Two division rivals going at it in Tampa Bay, looking to get a key win.
No prediction for my game.
Texans (0-4) at Giants (2-2)
The winless Texans come into this game looking for answers as they sport one of the leagues worst scoring offenses and defenses. The Giants are looking to get over .500 and create some distance from the rest of the division, still dealing with the absence of their leading rusher Brandon Jacobs.
Texans pull of the upset.
Dolphins (3-1) at Packers (3-1)
The Dolphins will have to find a way to score enough points against a Packers team that is giving up 16.5 ppg. The Packers will look to keep the Dolphins D off-balance with Aaron Rodgers and Darren McFadden leading the offense.
Packers win at home.
Chiefs (1-3) at Jaguars (1-2)
The Chiefs need QB Kyle Orton to take better care of the ball as he already has 9 interceptions on the year. The Jaguars need RB Maurice Jones-Drew to step up and take some of the offensive load off of QB Curtis Painter.
Jaguars get the win at home.
Redskins (1-3) at Eagles (1-3)
The Redskins need QB Jason Campbell to cut back on the turnovers as he has 10 interceptions and 2 fumbles on the year. The Eagles need to keep relying on their ground game lead by Brian Westbrook and Beanie Wells to keep pressure off backup QB Mike Vick.
Eagles win at home.
Broncos (1-3) at Rams (3-1)
The Broncos are going to keep leaning on their strong running game as they continue to get limited production out of the QB position. The Rams will look to slow down the Broncos 3-headed rushing attack, and force the Broncos QB's to win the game.
Rams get the win.
Raiders (1-2) at Colts (3-0)
The Raiders will look to QB Jay Cutler and the passing game to try and defeat the #2 scoring defense in the league of the Colts. The Colts will put the ball in QB Peyton Mannings hands and let him go to work on the Raiders defense.
Colts win at home to stay unbeaten.
Bears (1-3) at Seahawks (3-1)
The Bears will need their rookie QB Jack English to continue to improve, as he has a TD-Int ratio of about 1:1 (8 TD's-7 Int's). The Seahawks will pose a problem to the Bears defense with their great balance on offense.
Seahawks get the win.
Cardinals (2-2) at 49ers (1-3)
The Cardinals will attack the 49ers D with QB Kurt Warner and his 15 TD's to only 3 Int's, as well as RB LeSean McCoy who has 11 TD's of his own. The 49ers need better decision making from QB Matt Cassel who has 11 Int's and better production from RB Frank Gore.
Cardinals win on the road.
Bengals (0-3) at Bills (4-0)
The Bengals will have a tough time in this road game. They have a terrible scoring offense going up against the Bills #1 scoring defense. The Bills hope that QB Trent Edwards and RB Marshawn Lynch can have their way with a Bengals D that is prone to giving points.
Bills win at home to stay unbeaten.
Ravens (4-0) at Patriots (3-1)
The Ravens need RB LeRon James and his 8.8 ypc to help out QB Joe Flacco, who will be playing without leading receiver TE Todd Heap. The Patriots need RB Donald Brown to get it going to eat up some time on the clock, and keep the Ravens high scoring offense off the field.
Ravens get the big road win.
Jets (2-2) at Steelers (3-1)
The Jets need QB Mark Sanchez(3 TD's-11 Int's) to get it together to keep the Steelers defense from focusing on RB Thomas Jones. The Steelers will need backup RB Rashard Mendenhall to take on more of the workload without starter Wille Parker.
Steelers get the win.
Chargers (2-1) at Titans (4-0)
The Chargers will need their offense to put up enough points on the scoreboard to keep up with the Titans #2 scoring offense. The Titans will look to their dynamic offensive firepower to light up the scoreboard.
Titans stay undefeated.
Cowboys (1-2) at Vikings (1-3)
The Cowboys are still waiting for their offense to come to life, they need much more production from QB Tony Romo(2TD-1Int), RB Marion Barber(81 rushing yards), and RB Felix Jones(50 rushing yards). The Vikings will attack the Cowboys with QB Eli Manning (who has 13TDs and only 2Ints) and RB Chris Johnson.
Vikings win at home.
That is it for this week's predictions, last week I went 10-3 to bring my total to 18-8, we'll see if I can keep that up. Good luck gamers.
