Here we are in week 3 with 7 winless teams looking to end their early season losing streaks and 8 unbeaten teams looking to keep the good play going. Now on to this weeks slate of NFL games:
Cardinals (1-1) at Seahawks (1-1)
The Cardinals will be looking to keep the Seahawks D off balance with their dual threat to run and pass. The Seahawks meanwhile will be looking for a little more balance with their offensive attack to keep the pressure off of Matt Hasselbeck. I think the Cardinals balanced attack will be too much for the Seahawks to handle.
Cardinals win on the road.
Broncos (1-1) at Chargers (1-1)
The Broncos will be looking to slow the game down with ball control on offense and prevent quick scores on defense. The Chargers will have to be careful in the passing game with Champ Bailey in the secondary but they boast a good running attack so they won't have to rely on the passing game solely.
Chargers win at home.
Buccaneers (0-2) at Lions (1-1)
This game will feature two teams that are very similar, both teams have young QBs that are playing well. The Bucaneers with Josh Freeman and the Lions with Matt Stafford. Each team has a young RB that helps their QB. The Bucs with Tashard Choice and the Lions with rookie Joey Keller. It will all come down to which young tandem makes the most big plays while limiting mistakes.
Bucs get their first win of the season.
Dolphins (2-0) at Texans (0-2)
The Dolphins will be looking to exploit the Texans D which is among the league worst in points allowed. The Texans will be looking to get into the win column at home on the arm of Matt Schaub and the legs of Steve Slaton. The Dolphins balanced attack and decent D will keep the Texans winless.
Dolphins stay undefeated with road win.
Saints (2-0) at Ravens (2-0)
This is the first of two games this week featuring unbeaten vs. unbeaten. The Saints head to Baltimore boasting the leagues best passing attack led by Drew Brees. The Ravens come into this contest boasting the leagues best scoring attack and leading rusher, rookie Leron James, as well as a top 5 scoring defense.
Ravens stay unbeaten for another week.
Giants (1-1) at Redskins (0-2)
The Giants will look to take advantage of the Redskins porous D with good QB play from Tim Tribow and a dual rushing attack with Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw. The Redskins will be looking to QB Jason Campbell to have a stellar passing day to give themselves a chance at their first win. The Giants will prove to have too many weapons for the Redskins.
Giants win on the road and get over .500.
49ers (1-1) at Eagles (0-2)
The 49ers head to Philly with an above average passing attack with Matt Cassel and a running game that just isn't clicking yet with Frank Gore. The Eagles come into this game missing 3 key pieces on an offense that is struggling right now. The 49ers will look to make Mike Vick beat them through the air, the Eagles will try to utilize Beanie Wells and Brian Westbrook as much as they can.
49ers win on the road.
Steelers (2-0) at Patriots(1-1)
The Steelers will look to attack the Patriots in the air with Ben Roethlisberger and on the ground with Willie Parker. The Patriots will rely on Tom Brady and hope to get more production out of Donald Brown. The Steelers will need to force the Patriots to run the ball, and the Patriots will have to watch the playaction.
Patriots get the win, hand Steelers first loss.
Bears (0-2) at Vikings (1-1)
The Bears head to Minnesota looking for their first win of the young season, while Minnesota looks to get back in the win column after last weeks loss. The Bears look to rookie QB Jack English along with RB Matt Forte, who are having good years, to get their first win. The Vikings look for Eli Manning and Chris Johnson to lead them to victory.
Vikings win at home.
Bengals (0-2) at Jets (0-2)
This game features two teams looking for their first win. The Bengals will be looking to improve upon their defense which is last in the league in points allowed, also an offense that is only averaging 15 points a game. The Jets will be looking to improve on their offense which is averaging only 10 points a game.
Jets win at home with their D.
Packers (2-0) at Bills (2-0)
This game is the second game of unbeaten vs. unbeaten and is my choice for game of the week honors. Both the Packers and Bills have above average offenses to go along with stingy defenses. The Packers are just a little bit more balanced on offense than the Bills who rely on the passing game more.
Packers get the tough win on the road.
Chiefs (1-1) at Titans (2-0)
The Chiefs will be looking for ball control on offense to keep the high powered Titans offense off of the field. The Titans will look for opportunistic turnovers to gain extra chances on offense, or be efficient with the few chances they may get and look to score TDs on each drive.
Titans win at home and stay unbeaten.
Panthers (1-1) at Browns (1-1)
Both teams will be looking to get over .500 to try and keep up in their divisions with two undefeated teams.
No prediction for my game.
Falcons (2-0) at Rams (1-1)
In the final game of week 3 the Falcons will look to ride a stingy defense, allowing 12 points per game, to get the ball to its offense which is the #3 scoring offense in the league. The Rams will look to keep the Falcons highpowered offense on the sideline as long as it can.
Falcons win on the road and stay unbeaten.
Thats it, those are my predictions for the week we'll see how close I come to a perfect week. Good Luck gamers.
