Hello, and welcome to Sportscenter, we've had a lot going on this week, including trades, big games, and some injuries. Lets take a look at whats happened this week.
We've had quite a few games worth noting this week, Sportscenter has decided to take you closer to a few of them. First game was a NFC East battle with the Giants and Cowboys playing each other this week.
This game wasn't looking so hot at the end of the 1st half with the Cowboys trailing 14-24, but the Cowboys D stepped up and shut out the Giants in the second half and Marion Barber gets the 1 yards run they needed to win the game 31-24, better luck next time Giants.
Next we go to Denver to check out the Jaguars and Broncos game.
This game was one that came down to the last few minutes, Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall saved the team from possible defeat as he got a 27-yard Touchdown around the 2-minute warning. The Denver defense came through to keep Jacksonville from scoring anything more. The final score was 17-14, both teams definitely showed up to play, but only one can come out up top, great job Denver.
Speaking of 17-14 victories, we had an AFC east rivalry, where the Jets were at home playing the Pats.
This game went into Overtime, thats right, they needed more than 4 Quarters to play their game, and with 4:21 left to play, Patriots kicker Gostowski kicks the game-winner to get the Patriots on the right foot at 1-0 this season and in the division. You'll get'em next time Jets, just a little more fight.
Next, has the Sportscenters vote as the most nerve-racking game of the week, with the Bucs playing in the Superdome with the Saints.
This was a great game to tune into on your televisions folks, the Bucs score inside the 2-minutes to put them up by three. So the Saints have one final try to try and end this peacefully for them, and with only 6 seconds to spare, the Saints miraculously not only win, they didn't kick a field goal, they went right for that Touchdown and Pierre Thomas was the one scoring it finishing the game, great game by two good teams.
Lastly, the blow-out of the week, Cinci at Baltimore for yet another divisional game.
Believe this score, 98-27 Ravens, thats how good the Ravens played, or how bad the Bengals played, or maybe a little bit of both. 6 turnovers each were forced in this game, that obviously totals 12 turnovers!!! If you absolutely hate the Bengals, you may have watched this game. We interviewed the Ravens coach Its SupaB for his teams performance:
Mind if Sportscenter interview you?
Ight
Okay, How does it feel to score 98 points against an opponent?
It was pretty relieving considering I'm new and didn't know how my team would preform out there.
Do you feel that this game is a sign of a Super Bowl win
Its only Week 1, but it is a good sign of what the Ravens can do this year.
What player do you think made this all happen?
The whole offense was clicking honestly, Joe Flacco and his WR's were getting it done through the air and then LeRon McClain closed it out nicely.
Can you repeat a game like this in the future?
We'll see how things go, turnovers can happen and alter the whole game. I don't care if I win 98 – 27 or 6 – 3, I'll take it.
You crushed the Bengals even though 6 turnovers were forced by the Bengals defense, your thoughts?
Yeah, its a bit upsetting, I think I just came out the gate passing the like crazy and got a little reckless. I think a little more balance on offense will benefit and props to the defense for bailing the offense with some quick stops.
Thank you for your time and good luck with your season.
Thank you.

We had some big-time trades trades Week 1, one of the more lengthy trades was the Bengals and Patriots trade.
This trade was obviously a very tedious one considering some of the teams top players had to leave the team for this trade, but its pretty equal overall. Its hard to really decide this one because one player matches up with another pretty evenly.
Next trade involved the Chargers and the Buccaneers
Lets be clear hear, your giving up your top running back for a Linebacker? Your pretty much giving the Bucs a free running game here. You may have Darren Sproles in that backfield Chargers, but Tomlinson has quite a few years on him still, and don't get me wrong, A.J. Hawk has talent, but he isn't worth a good veteran like L.T.
Our 3rd trade involves the Chargers again, but this time, they trade with the Cardinals.
This one was kind of though to look at a winner, Tim Hightower is a rising back in this league, Larry English is a a slightly less rising start as well, Domenik simply put in the balance in this trade, this was a good trade.
The last trade that happened Week 1 was between the Bears and Raiders.
This is a risky trade that could hurt the Bears. Not only is the the new quarterback for the Bears an untested rookie, but hes the only quarterback. This is dangerous, because there isn't going to be a great quarterback just waiting in the Free Agents if this rookie gets hurt.
There weren't too many injuries this week, which is a big positive, but unfortunately, not a week goes by without one. Here are the injuries for this week:
The Jets need a ROLB for awhile, Vernon Gholston is a young and great backer to help out this great Jets defense. Us here at Sportscenter hope the Jets get through the injury.
Our last injury is to the Titans Kyle Vanden Bosch:
The Titans injury staff say he can play in Week 3's game against the Cheifs. Vanden Bosch is a great D-linemen, he needs to be back to help the Titans defense soon, however, these are broken bones we're talking about, who knows when he'll be back.
Well, this has been Sportscenter, tune in next week for the top games, and info around the league, see ya later football fans!
